Please don't shoot your eye out

I have smiled and said that a million times to Caleb since Christmas.
He got his first pellet gun and is crazy about it.

I love to see him smile and that look of accomplishment when he demolishes his target is priceless.

My boy is growing up faster than a speeding pellet.

Nothing sweeter than Candy Canes

Silver hopes your Christmas is as sweet as it can be.

Oh Christmas Tree

Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree.
In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.
~Larry Wilde

One of Caleb's favorite traditions at Christmas is to help Dad cut our tree.
He loves using the BIG tools ....

A fun, simple gift

One of my favorite little gifts to give is Million dollar candy bars.
These can usually be found during the holidays.
I like to pretty them up with bits of fabric/ribbon/lace and a fun tag.
We passed these out at school this Christmas.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I love to decorate for the holidays.
My sister, Stephanie, made me the prettiest vintage paper wreath and JOY garland.
They are gorgeous and became my focal point and inspiration this year.

Rest in Peace, Pretty.

Our favorite hen, Pretty, went to heaven last night.
We're not sure what got her, but the boys set a "trap" and are
hoping to catch whatever is after our girls .. sniffle, sniffle.

You will be missed, Pretty.

Jack and Jingle

If you don't have a little "magic"  elf in your house you might want to think about getting one.
We have Jack - the "traditional" Elf on the Shelf ( I have seen them at Target and Hallmark stores) and we have Jingle our little "vintage" elf with a jingle bell on her boot. The children LOVE this tradition.
Every night the little elves move to different spots - reporting to Santa each evening when they leave.
This year, thanks to Pinterest, I've taken it to a new level - the elves are into everything.
The children can hardly wait to jump out of bed in the morning to find them. The elves have also left a few goodies this year, books one day and today a "family" game that Caleb recently played at a party and loved, Twister. Jack and Jingle apparently had been playing it all night long. I love getting up early and creating a little Christmas magic each day. So go out and find yourself a little "magic".

Can you find Jingle - she had a snowball fight with mini marshmallows

Jack had fun with monster trucks

Jack the "kitty" playing with Seanna's make up

Jingle "training his dragon" - she was even watching the movie when we woke up .. silly elf.

Snow angels in flour - I see Jingle's angel, but where is she?

Silly elf

Aren't we adorable??
